Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil ($10.49) is a new lip oil that launched with the Revlon Spring 2025 which promises an “intensely hydrating shine” formula in a lightweight and available in six sheer shade selections.
Revlon has been pretty busy releasing some very interesting items this season like their Glimmer Drops Blush and a reinvention of their Super Lustrous Lipgloss. They’re also keeping things fairly affordable. I mean, ten bucks isn’t great for a lip oil but also, I see drugstore makeup going bonkers lately with prices that are $15+ so I see $10 bucks and ironically think ok, that’s not too bad. Granted, a few years ago I felt like this would have been priced at around $7.99 or so. Is it worth $10.49? Absolutely not. This should be at or around $7 at most especially since the formula isn’t revolutionary but sadly, prices are raising and this the new norm for drugstore makeup.
Pricing aside for a while there I thought Revlon was ready to go bankrupt but they seem to have found a will and a way to regain their footing and their very busy releasing new products for Spring with the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil being one of those releases.
Let’s take a look at my review and swatches of the Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil!
Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is available in six shade selections and arrives in fairly basic packaging that has a white top and a clear barrel. Honestly, if you look fast it almost reminds me of a brow gel! The oil is 0.13 oz in size and promises intense shine, moisture, and a plumping effect. It contains squalane to retain moisture and an oversized applicator for easy application. It’s an ok formula but I actually like Covergirl’s Yummy Gloss much more. Granted, that isn’t a lip oil but it does provide way more shine and moisture in comparison to this formula.
Although it’s available in six shades there is absolutely no reason to buy more than one. That is, of course, unless you become some sort of diehard fan of the formula. The shades are sheer with absolutely no color and apply clear so purchasing more than one is a waste. I got the shades Candy Hearts which is pale pink in color and applies clear. It appears to be fragrance and flavor-free but does have a light plastic-y flavor and fragrance. The smell dissipates as does the flavor and I didn’t notice it at all once it was applied.
I wouldn’t say it’s intensely hydrating or shiny but it does provide a nice hint of shine and feels very pleasant on my dry lips providing light moisture. It doesn’t have the consistency of a lipgloss which most lip oils do. This has more of a gel-like consistency with a lightly balmy texture on lips. It doesn’t migrate, move, or feather and does remain where you put it. I struggled a little with the applicator as it’s nice and large but doesn’t saturate well with gloss. I had to plump it a few times to get it saturated well. It does feel a little sticky but nothing insane. It does last on lips for a good three to four hours with is quite long for a lip oil. And during that time it did keep my lips pleasantly moist. I didn’t experience any form of plumping with these nor did I feel like my lips looked fuller using them.
I don’t think Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is groundbreaking nor do I think it’s the best drugstore option out there but if you happen to find it on sale it might be worth a pick up to tuck in your makeup bag for days your lips are feeling a bit dry. I do wish it was more glossy. I felt like other lip oil formulas have a way more shinier appearance than this did.
Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oi is available now at drugstore. Have you tried it?

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is a new, permanent selection of lip oils that are $10.49 and 0.13 oz in size. These are formulated with squalane to provide moisture and help to retain it. They promise intense shine, hydration, and plumping. The lip oil has a weird plastic-y flavor and fragrance that did disappear after application. The texture is a gel-like consistency that provides a a small amount of shine, light moisture, and an impression wear for a lip oil at around for hours. I didn’t notice any plumping or fullness to my lips though when using this formula. I did wish they had a bit more glossiness as promised but the shine factor is average.
- Wears long without movement.
- Not badly priced compared to some drugstore prices at the moment.
- Lightly moisturizing and retained moisture for three to four hours.
- All shades are sheer.
- Not as shiny as marketed.
- Weird flavor and fragrance.
- Applicator issues (read above).
Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is a nice pick up if you want a longer wearing lip oil that retains moisture.
