Too Many Times McoBeauty Copied More Expensive Makeup and Beauty Products for Way Less

Australian beauty brand, MCOBeauty, is now available at target.com! If you’ve curious about the brand and wanting to try it out and it’s now easier than ever thanks to it being at Target. As you may know McoBeauty has been busy duping all sorts of brands. From Charlotte Tilbury to Sol de Janeiro no one is safe from McoBeauty. And I think we all agree a more inexpensive version of something is absolutely needed in this economy.

Here are too many times McoBeauty copied more expensive makeup and beauty products for way less!

Why pay $48 for Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Finish Powder when we can pay $10 for MCoBeauty Miracle Flawless Pressed Powder?

I wouldn’t say MCoBeauty Glow Up PH Powder Blush is an exact dupe of Rosy Glow Blush but if you’re on a budget it can’t hurt paying $8.99 compared to $40 right?

Move over Benetint I’d much rather pay $8.99 for MCoBeauty Cheek & Lip Stain 2-in-1 Liquid Tint than you!

Pillow Talk who? MCoBeauty Creme Matte Luxe Lipstick is $8.99 versus $35 for that other girl!

I love you Laneige but I love paying $8.99 for the MCoBeauty Overnight Lip Mask a little more!

Sheer blush drops should not be $39! Snag the MCoBeauty Super Glow Blush Drops for $11 and call it a day!

I love me some Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand but the nicer $15 price tag of MCoBeauty Highlight & Glow Beauty Wand is all the better!

Honestly, the Sol de Janeiro dupes are pretty darn lovely and only $12 bucks each!

I’m not much of a Hollywood Filter fan girl but even fans can agree MCoBeauty Flawless Glow Luminous Skin Filter for $14.99 is better than near $50 for the original!

You can shop all of MCOBeauty’s dupes now at Target!

Remember the Morphe To the Point Dual-Sided Powder Puff I was raving last week? I got it in this Morphe Conceal & Set Tool Trio ($20 Use code 451210 for $3.50 off)(and since that time I got two more! LOVE it!).

Morphe Conceal & Set Tool Trio Review

This set includes the amazing To the Point Dual-Sided Powder Brush as well as two full-size brushes. Let’s take a look!

The start in this set is absolutely the sponge! I love it. You can purchase one for six dollars if you don’t want to buy the entire Morphe Conceal & Set Tool Trio but it’s still a bargain to get the set considering it includes two full-size brushes. Using the coupon code I mentioned above you can snag the entire set for $16.50 which means you’re paying around $5.50 per item. Not to shabby.

The sponge is a smaller version of the Real Techniques Miracle 2-In-1 Dual Sided Powder Puff. I like the Morphe version better because it’s smaller and fits right into the corner my eye perfectly! It has two sides one of which is a traditionally soft powder puff you can use with powders or to bake with and the other has a smooth, Beauty Blender-like texture that’s ideal for creams and liquids. It smooths out cream concealer flawlessly! Plus the straw is reversible if you want to switch sides!

You’ll also get a beautiful concealer brush with this set. It’s the new Morphe M135 Slanted Concealer Brush and it’s exclusive to this set. This has an almost triangle like slant so it fits the natural contours of your eye and the inner corner of your eye for easy, flawless blending. The bristles are super soft and the handle nice and sturdy! It also washes quite well without shedding.

The third brush you get is the M163 Paddle Powder Brush and it’s a lot larger than I expected it to be. This would be great on a smaller scale for swiping powder under my eyes but it’s best suited to applying powder on your face. As with the concealer brush the bristles are super soft, shed-free, and it has a strong, sturdy handle.

All in all, this set was a nice addition to my stash of brushes plus it introduced me to a fantastic sponge that has quickly become a stable in my concealer application routine. I’m giving the Morphe Conceal & Set Tool Trio a Muse Approval.

It’s available now at Ulta!

And of course, we spoke about it last week, the new Clinique Good to Glow Highlighter and Blush Palette gets up some two shades of Cheek Pop Blush paired up with a highlighter for a pinch of glowing color!

Got any blushes on your Spring wish list? Which ones?

Innbeauty Project Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Eye Cream Shut Up!

Wait, one damn minute! There’s an iNNBEAUTY PROJECT Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Refillable Eye Cream? I’m so here for it! iNNBEAUTY PROJECT just dropped a new Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Eye Cream for $48 and according to them it treats all sorts of good stuff. Created with aging eyes in mind this eye cream is formulated to decrease puffiness, wrinkles, and sagging eyelids in as little as a week of use. Stop now! A week? Count me curious!

Infused with retinol, fermented amino acids, Hexapeptide-8, and Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5 this formula is choke full of good stuff. But wait, what’s the hell is Hexapeptide-8 and Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5 anyway? Excellent question.

As a puffy eyed girl I’m most excited about the addition of Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5. Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5 synthetic peptide. Synthetic simply means the peptide was created mimic the size, shape and amino acid content of the natural equivalent. Remember undereye puffiness can’t always be treated by an eye cream. If you’re up late gaming, have allergies, or other more “natural” baggage eye cream can definitely help to improve these issues. However, if your issue is due to fat pads beneath the skin eye cream likely won’t help. Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5 is a peptide believed to reduce puffiness and also, to firm skin as it hydrates. You many know it by it’s more common name, Argireline. Hexapeptide-8 is also a peptide and helps to reduce finer lines. And of course, Innbeauty Project didn’t forget everyone’s fav ingredient for moisture at the moment, Squalane.

Ingredients in Innbeauty Project Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Eye Cream:
Water (Aqua), C13-15 Alkane, Squalane, Propanediol, Lauryl Laurate, Polyglyceryl-5 Polyricinoleate, Glycerin, Magnesium Sulfate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Quaternium-90 Bentonite, Polyglyceryl-20 Octadecabehenate/Hydroxystearate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Arginine/Lysine Polypeptide, Prolinamidoethyl Imidazole, Arginine, Acmella Oleracea (Paracress) Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Glyceryl Glucoside, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Extract, Tulipa Gesneriana Flower Extract, Padina Pavonica Thallus Extract, Gluconolactone, Bisabolol, Allantoin, Sodium PCA, Butylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Fructose, Maltodextrin, Dextran, Glyceryl Behenate, Polyglyceryl-6 Octastearate, Tocopherol, Stearic Acid, Calcium Gluconate, Triethyl Citrate, Citric Acid, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Zinc Stearate.

I’ve been a fan of iNNBEAUTY PROJECT Extreme Cream Anti-Aging, Firming, & Lifting Moisturizer since it launched (it just had a Birthday and turned a year old) and have been hoping that the brand would introduce some sort of new eye cream. I do like their Bright & Tight Dark Circle Firming Eye Cream with Vitamin C & Peptides but I don’t find it moisturizing enough which is why I’m pretty excited Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Eye Cream as if the texture and consistency is like the original Extreme Cream I’d be a happy girl!

I’m not sure about the claim of working in a week but hey, I wouldn’t mind it either. This formula packs in some pretty amazing claims aside from decreasing puffiness such as treating wrinkles and sagging eyelids as well as lifting and firming plus moisturizing. They also, have me at the “luxe reverse-emulsion texture intensely moisturizes and leaves a flawless base for concealer and makeup” as I’m always looking for a good moisturizing eye cream to prep my eyes well before concealer.

What do you think of the Innbeauty Project Extreme Cream Eye Firming & Contouring Eye Cream formula? Think it’ll deliver on it’s amazing claims? I’m excited to try it!

Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Vol. 870

So…what is the Monday Poll?

Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

1. Which would you rather have in your makeup collection: a nail polish that never chipped, a foundation that perfectly matched your skin tone, a long-lasting mascara that was easy to remove or a lipstick that never dried out your lips?

Nail polish that never chipped! In a heartbeat.

2. How good are you at doing other people’s hair?

Not great. Actually, terrible. I realized I really need to work at it when I tried to do Connor’s hair in a french braid for a dance competition, and it looked so wonky it was laughable.

3. What do you do when you’re sitting on a flight next to a stranger: chat them up or put in your headphones and pretend they’re not there?

I’ll do a little polite chat, mostly because I know I’ll have to get up a few times to go to the bathroom, and if I have to climb over them, it’s a little less awkward.

4. What drink do you typically have with a meal?

Usually bubbly water or plain water. Sometimes I’ll have an iced tea with lunch, or a very watered down juice (like, 50% of it is water).

5. Pick one: walking or biking?

Walking! I’m less likely to crash into someone or something. Hahaha!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Here are the questions to copy/paste with your answers in a comment. Talk to ya soon.
