eos Shea Better Cashmere Body Wash is Real and Available in Texas

By now you’ve probably heard the good word that that EOS is releasing Body Washes! EOS Shea Better Cashmere Body Wash have been spotted all over Texas at HEB and I believe a few people have seen them at Dollar General. Sadly, I haven’t seen a whisper or a word about these in New Year but I’m patiently awaiting their arrival for the Spring 2025 season. And yes, our beloved Vanilla Cashmere will be available in a body wash as well! Right now at HEB you can get the body washes in Coconut Waters, Fresh & Cozy, and Pink Champagne. These are 16 oz in size and $10 each. I suspect when we get them we’ll see them pop up at Target and Walmart first and later on at other mass retailers like Ulta.

Do I need another body wash? No. I have shower gels to last me now into the next century but I’ll totally purchase eos Shea Better Vanilla Cashmere Body Wash. Who doesn’t love that warm, delicious vanilla scent? It’s so comforting and lovely plus it layers so well with perfumes like Lush Vanillary and Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil.

I dunno about you but I’m looking forward eos Shea Better Cashmere Body Wash. I probably won’t buy all of them because as I said my shower stash is pretty wild but I’ll def be grabbing the vanilla one!

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil Review & Swatches

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil ($10.49) is a new lip oil that launched with the Revlon Spring 2025 which promises an “intensely hydrating shine” formula in a lightweight and available in six sheer shade selections.

Revlon has been pretty busy releasing some very interesting items this season like their Glimmer Drops Blush and a reinvention of their Super Lustrous Lipgloss. They’re also keeping things fairly affordable. I mean, ten bucks isn’t great for a lip oil but also, I see drugstore makeup going bonkers lately with prices that are $15+ so I see $10 bucks and ironically think ok, that’s not too bad. Granted, a few years ago I felt like this would have been priced at around $7.99 or so. Is it worth $10.49? Absolutely not. This should be at or around $7 at most especially since the formula isn’t revolutionary but sadly, prices are raising and this the new norm for drugstore makeup.

Pricing aside for a while there I thought Revlon was ready to go bankrupt but they seem to have found a will and a way to regain their footing and their very busy releasing new products for Spring with the Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil being one of those releases.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches of the Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil!

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is available in six shade selections and arrives in fairly basic packaging that has a white top and a clear barrel. Honestly, if you look fast it almost reminds me of a brow gel! The oil is 0.13 oz in size and promises intense shine, moisture, and a plumping effect. It contains squalane to retain moisture and an oversized applicator for easy application. It’s an ok formula but I actually like Covergirl’s Yummy Gloss much more. Granted, that isn’t a lip oil but it does provide way more shine and moisture in comparison to this formula.

Although it’s available in six shades there is absolutely no reason to buy more than one. That is, of course, unless you become some sort of diehard fan of the formula. The shades are sheer with absolutely no color and apply clear so purchasing more than one is a waste. I got the shades Candy Hearts which is pale pink in color and applies clear. It appears to be fragrance and flavor-free but does have a light plastic-y flavor and fragrance. The smell dissipates as does the flavor and I didn’t notice it at all once it was applied.

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil in Candy Hearts

I wouldn’t say it’s intensely hydrating or shiny but it does provide a nice hint of shine and feels very pleasant on my dry lips providing light moisture. It doesn’t have the consistency of a lipgloss which most lip oils do. This has more of a gel-like consistency with a lightly balmy texture on lips. It doesn’t migrate, move, or feather and does remain where you put it. I struggled a little with the applicator as it’s nice and large but doesn’t saturate well with gloss. I had to plump it a few times to get it saturated well. It does feel a little sticky but nothing insane. It does last on lips for a good three to four hours with is quite long for a lip oil. And during that time it did keep my lips pleasantly moist. I didn’t experience any form of plumping with these nor did I feel like my lips looked fuller using them.

I don’t think Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is groundbreaking nor do I think it’s the best drugstore option out there but if you happen to find it on sale it might be worth a pick up to tuck in your makeup bag for days your lips are feeling a bit dry. I do wish it was more glossy. I felt like other lip oil formulas have a way more shinier appearance than this did.

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oi is available now at drugstore. Have you tried it?

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is a new, permanent selection of lip oils that are $10.49 and 0.13 oz in size. These are formulated with squalane to provide moisture and help to retain it. They promise intense shine, hydration, and plumping. The lip oil has a weird plastic-y flavor and fragrance that did disappear after application. The texture is a gel-like consistency that provides a a small amount of shine, light moisture, and an impression wear for a lip oil at around for hours. I didn’t notice any plumping or fullness to my lips though when using this formula. I did wish they had a bit more glossiness as promised but the shine factor is average.

Pros

  • Wears long without movement.
  • Not badly priced compared to some drugstore prices at the moment.
  • Lightly moisturizing and retained moisture for three to four hours.

Cons

  • All shades are sheer.
  • Not as shiny as marketed.
  • Weird flavor and fragrance.
  • Applicator issues (read above).

Who

Revlon Super Lustrous Glimmer Lip Oil is a nice pick up if you want a longer wearing lip oil that retains moisture.

Victoria’s Secret Valentine’s Day 2025 Fragrance Mists

Time to celebrate a little love and roses with the Victoria’s Secret Valentine’s Day 2025 Fragrance Mist Collection! Hearts & Candy, Bubbles & Berries, and Bows & Roses are three new, limited-edition fragrances that launched for Valentine’s Day! Thankfully, I only see one I want and I may even skip that. I was doing a little beauty room clean up for the New Year and realized I have an absurd amount of fragrance mists and I really need to downsize. I love perfumes of any kind but even I can admit when my collection is a little stupid.

The Victoria’s Secret Hearts & Candy Mist is the one I have my eye on and is going to be pretty hard to say no to since it has marshmallow notes! Ugh! They call it a sticky sweet marshmallow with sugar florals. The notes are fluffy marshmallow and candied violet. Thankfully, the violet might be the note that makes me pause as I really don’t love violet anything lately. It’s just not the note for me. I’ll go have a sniff in store and see what I think but maybe it’ll be a safe skip!

Next up we have Victoria’s Secret Bubbles & Berries Mist which is a woodsy fruity fragrance with notes of sparkling champagne and juicy strawberry! That brings back memories of Victoria’s Secret Strawberries & Champagne! I haven’t worn it in years!

And lastly we have Victoria’s Secret Bows & Roses Mist which is another sweet berry and floral fragrance with notes of rose petals and sweet berries!

The Victoria’s Secret Valentine’s Day 2025 Collection is available in fragrance mist and matching body lotions for a limited time. Do you think you’ll grab any of these? I feel like the may be a safe skip for me this time around!

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum Glitter “A Nope” Review

I got my hands on the new Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum Glitter and I was pretty hyped to try it as it has a marshmallow note. I am, like most of the gourmand fragrance community, obsessed with anything marshmallow. YSL promised this to be a warm, spicy, gourmand with notes of Marshmallow Musk Accord, Coffee Accord, and Vanilla Bourbon Absolute. I was being really smart and logical when I purchased this and went with the smaller travel-size spray as I do have a love hate relationship with Black Opium. It’s a scent I really have to be in a mood to wear and it’s rare I actually do wear it. It’s just a bit too dark for me.

However, when they did this new edition I was intrigued with all the delicious gourmand notes and away I went to make my little purchase. It set me back $35 and at the time it was a blindbuy because I was eager and couldn’t wait for it to drop in stores so I ordered it online.

Unfortunately, it’s a nope for me. I don’t like it. Well, that’s not true. I love the glittery bottle it comes in! You won’t get that with the travel-spray but if you are headed in for a larger bottle purchase the bottle is really pretty with pink and silver glittery.

This is a very strong, shape fragrance and I failed to smell the gourmand notes in it. It’s very orange blossom heavy which isn’t a bad thing but every note in this perfume feels challenged, dominated, and conquered by patchouli. It’s such a heavy, dense, dark fragrance because of the note. The fragrance is supposed to start with lighter notes like pear and lemon but I don’t smell that. It moves into middle notes of orange blossom which is actually very noticeable even after the fragrance dries down you’ll still get a good hit of it mixed with the patchouli.

The base notes is really where I was hoping to get some fluffiness as the coffee, vanilla, and marshmallow are supposed to be in the final dry down but musk and patchouli are as well and patchouli completely eliminates everything else. You get a sugary patchouli with hints of orange blossom as the fragrance dries down and settles onto your skin. It’s really deep, dark, sultry and far, far from gourmand in my opinion. It’s just to strong and it lingers on the skin for ages and ages.

It’s absolutely a statement fragrance and one that stands out. If you’re in an elevator this is sure to overpower everyone inside with you not to mention the scent will likely linger well after you exit. It’s just not for me and a bit too potent. I think the oddest thing about the launch is it is a Spring 2025. This seems like it would’ve made a great pick for Fall or Winter but heading into Spring not so much! It’s way too strong!

Oh well! That being said, I’m pretty sure Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium fans will absolutely LOVE Glitter. But if you’re looking for a gourmand fragrance that smells like marshmallow this isn’t it.

Have you smelled Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum Glitter? Did you like it? Or was it a skip?

Kayali Body Sprays Coming for Spring and I’m Just Eh

Kayali is pulling a Tom Ford on us as they’ll be releasing a round body mists for Spring 2025. You’ll be able to get Kayali Body Mists in Yum Pistachio Gelato, Lovefest Burning Cherry, and Kayali Vanilla will be available in this formula for $45 each for 4.2 oz each. These appeared briefly on Sephora’s website and r/Sephora managed to grab a screenshot of the bottles before they were taken down (credit for the screenshot goes to the Sephora Subreddit).

I actually don’t really see a point in body mists from brands like Tom Ford, Kayali, etc…! I do admit I have a soft spot in my heart for the Eilis Body Spray but aside from that they all sort of remind me of Axe Body Spray. I can see a guy being cool with using these but I’m sort of on the fence about them myself. If I already have the perfume why would I need a body mist version which is likely weaker? I guess it comes down to preference but for $45 each that’s a lot to pay for something that may not be a strong as the EDP formulations that Kayali already has available. That being said, $45 is a lot less to pay versus a larger bottle of EDP which will set you back $100+. That being said, people might also, like the idea of these for use in the Summer for a little bit of a lighter fragrance versus wearing EDP. But I’m still not convinced I actually need body mists of fragrances I already own in an EDP format.

What I would have liked to see from Kayali is some body lotions or creams. I’d have totally skipped a body mist and headed right in releasing a body cream. Their fragrances aren’t terribly weak but having a matching body lotion would extend the wear of the perfumes and be a nice way layering tool.

However, you might feel about these Kayali is set to introduce their Body Mist Collection for Spring 2025. Expect to see them soon!

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede Are and I’m Not Paying That

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede ($24) are coming for the Spring 2025 season! This new long-lasting blush promises suede-soft texture and a blurred, matte finish. Their claim to fame is the formula is sweat and waterproof. And guess what? I’m not $24 for these thanks but no thanks. The new Urban Decay Face Bond Luminizer Waterproof Liquid Highlighter which launched, what, last week? was on sale already at ulta.com for 20% off!

But that’s not even my beef with Urban Decay! It’s the fact they are serving these up in the most basic of basic plastic packaging and they want me to drop $24 bucks on them. I won’t do it sorry. I never thought blush was one of Urban Decay’s strongest formulas anyway plus the fact these are completely matte has me eh on them. I WISH someone, anyone would release some pretty glowy blushes. I can do without flat matte blushes. Urban Decay says they’re micro-milled to give them that soft-suede-like texture. Sounds like they’re going for a Color Fuse Talc-Free Blush Powder but Urban Decay’s formula has the talc or at least that’s what it says on Sephora’s site under the ingredients. Weren’t we trying to get away from talc the last few months? I mean, NARS created an entirely new Talc-Free Powder Blush last year and discontinued their entire blush range to do so. Personally, I don’t mind! Add the talc! I like it! But surprised UD didn’t jump on that talc-free bandwagon everyone else is on.

As with most releases lately we’re getting a very small range of colors which means they won’t stick around long. There are seven total…! I never thought I’d say it but I do miss variety. I don’t want to be overwhelmed with like fifty shades but I’d like more than seven ya know? The shades are all pretty bold and feel a little unwearable to me. Bright oranges, bright pinks, lilacs, you know stuff that makes you feel like a clown if you’re heavy-handed.

Shades:

  • Sunset + Vine (deep tangerine)
  • Touch Me (vivid lilac)
  • Wholehearted (baby pink)
  • Slow Burn (warm coral)
  • Problematic (burn orange red)
  • Backtalk (mauve nude pink)
  • Fleshed Out (nude apricot)

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede might be appealing to some but this girl just isn’t up to spend that much on these when she knows Urban Decay will drop the price on them to $10 bucks or something in a few short months.

Urban Decay Face Bond Long-Lasting Powder Blush Suede will be available shortly! Are you snagging them?

Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick ($12.99) is a new lightweight foundation stick which launched with the Maybelline Spring 2025 Collection that can be used to contour and sculpt your face. Available in $18 shade selections you can easily swipe these on as an all over foundation or use them a darker shade to contour with.

As you know I’m a huge swipe, blend, and go girl! I love that stick foundations seem to making their way back into the makeup world for the Spring 2025 season. The Maybelline Lifter Stix isn’t the only new foundation stick on the market Milani also dropped a new Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint which I’m loving a the moment. Although, I don’t think they’re really trying to bring back foundation sticks but more about doing a Fenty Beauty Match Stix kind of dupe I guess.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches of the new Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick below.

Maybelline Lifter Stix Review & Swatches

Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick in a nude plastic barrel with a clear top which allows you to view the shade easily. It swivels up and down easily and holds 0.21 oz of foundation for around $10-$13 depending where you purchase it. The foundation doesn’t have a traditional flat top but has dome shape like the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush. I think this shade is rather nice as it fits the contours of your face a lot more easily than a flat stick does. In comparison, Milani’s Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint is a bit larger in size and priced a little higher as well. You get 0.28 oz for $17. As far as texture and formula I thought Milani’s was the better formula.

Maybelline hasn’t really fully disclosed the finish they are going for with these sticks but I thought it was a drier matte. Milani’s version is also matte but felt a bit more creamier and less dry. I also thought that Milani’s version had more pigment.

Maybelline’s formula is a drier cream formula that does drag a little on your skin as you apply it. That being said, I didn’t feel it adhered to drier areas on my face nor did it cling to those areas. It had a nice, soft finish. I do wish it was a bit creamier but I think that dryness does help it to last longer as I felt this wore quite long for a sheerer stick foundation at around seven hours. It isn’t terribly pigmented so don’t expect super coverage from it. You can build it nicely but if you’re used to wearing more full coverage you won’t get it from these sticks. This is a lightweight, sheerer foundation that brightens, eases dullness, and will hide smaller imperfections.

I got the shade 25 and I did have to guess at my shade as Maybelline doesn’t really explain what sort of undertones the shades have. I’m normally a light medium neutral but this is a classified as one of their “warm” shades. The neutral shades sort of skipped around as they have 20 which seemed to light for me and 30 which seemed too dark so I went with 25. It’s not a perfect fit but I can make it work. The shade is a light medium beige. Not my ideal undertone but oh well! As I mentioned above this provided light coverage to even out my complexion, brighten it a little bit, and eased dullness. But I wouldn’t rely on it for heavy duty coverage. I’m find with the coverage provided as I don’t like nor wear full coverage foundation and this is the perfect breathable, light, natural look I like. Plus it’s easy apply! Swipe, blend, go!

I do think that maybe makeup lovers will like this more as a contour stick versus a foundation one. It’s ok for a quick, light makeup look but I do think Milani does a nice formula. This needed to be a little more creamier. I’ll happily use this now but I doubt I’d repurchase it in the future.

Maybelline Lifter Stix is available now!

Pros

  • Easy to apply. Swipe, blend, go.
  • Natural, lightweight coverage.
  • Wears long.

Cons

  • Bit dry, drags on application.
  • No info about undertones given on Maybelline’s website. Guessing game to select a shade match.

Is the Ulta Love Your Skin Event Really Expensive This Year?

Dude, does it feel like the Ulta Love Your Skin Event was a bit expensive this year? I think today is like one of the few days we got an item that was a little under $20 bucks (Origins GinZing Brightening Eye Cream with Vitamin C & Niacinamide for $19.50) but most all the items this month have been $30+ dollars. Or am I crazy? All of this the sales pick from this year seems really expensive and not so much of a sale at all! I felt like I was just paying regular price for them. I guess this is testimony to how high prices have gotten lately on beauty.

I do appreciate the fact they offer free shipping on any order for Diamond and Platinum Members when shopping the sale! That’s always such a great perk. But really, it’s not such a perk because you’re getting free shipping anyway since most items are costing over $30 bucks LOL!

Lucky enough not a lot appealed to me from the sale this year. I normally end up stocking up on a few staples but nothing really caught my eye. I miss the days they would have Lancome Bi-Facil on sale for 50% off. I used to grab a few bottles. Now they only do Clinique Take the Day Off Eye Makeup Remover and it’s just not as good as Bi-Facil. Oh well, I guess it’s good as money saved right?

What do you think of the Ulta Love Your Skin Event this year? Is it a bit expensive?

A Love List of Movies, TV Shows, Skincare and More

Time for a love list because we haven’t done one in ages and I felt inclined to share my latest loves! It’s cold, brutally so, and it’s absolutely sit on the couch, snuggle, and watch TV season. I don’t really have enough time to enjoy TV but the weather being so cold lately we’ve definitely carved out an hour or two a night to watch something comforting other than the news daily.

Here’s a few shows and movies that are on my love list.

We re-watched the Full Monty earlier this month and I forgot how much I love it (and how much you need to have subtitles on at some points LOL). It’s been years since I’ve watched it and had a blast re-watching it. I’ve crushed on Robert Carlyle forever and a spell because of that movie. I’ve seen the play, watched the TV series, but the movie remains my favorite. If you love Brit comedies and haven’t seen it I recommend a watch! It’s def on the love list! Such a comfort watch and the soundtrack is Chef’s kiss!

I dunno how but we missed out watching What We Do in the Shadows. My best friend recommended it to us recently and we’re absolutely in lust with it. It’s so stupidly funny not to mention how bad can you be at being a vampire? These four are useless LOL! We’ve been racing through episodes because we’re so curious how it’ll end. Since it’s been pretty brutal I’ve finally convinced my boyfriend to do his daily run inside on the treadmill so while he runs I do my power walk and we get in a few episodes together in the early AM. I’m hoping Nandor and Guillermo become a couple awwwww! This show is on my love list at the moment.

In the beauty world….

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I can’t live without my Plum Plump Refillable Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer and Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum. I can’t do without this in this weather. This stuff keeps my skin soft, well hydrated, smooth, and flake-free in this cold, cold, cold weather. Please never discontinue this Glow Recipe as I’ll have a fit if you do! As soon as I step out of the shower I apply the serum and right on top of that the moisturizer! It leaves my skin super hydrated all day long and my makeup applies so perfectly thanks to these two! Love list additions for sure!

This is going to be controversial as everyone isn’t a fan of Sheglam but I ended up buying the Crystal Jelly Glaze Stick in every shade and I regret nothing. Oh my god. I was very easily influenced by someone who reviewed this recently on Tiktok and they we’re not kidding when they said these were so sparkly. I love them! They’re a solid stick with a jelly-like consistency that you can apply alone or over your favorite shadow for a sparkly look. I absolutely love using them as a topper! They make my eyeshadow pop!

And last not not lease I love a good novelty purse moment and the Dolls Kill Looking Like A Snack Crossbody Bag I got on sale is SO on my love list at the moment. It just feels like such a cute bag to wear right now with Valentine’s Day upcoming! I dunno I always associate snacks and treats with V-Day and this is just too adorable. Do I need a box of donut shaped purse? Not really. Did I want one? Absolutely. Love list for sure!

I gotta say all the Spring 2025 drugstore makeup picks are absolutely on the love list. Brands have been really releasing some great items the last few weeks! I’m adding the Milani Keep It Full Glossy Plumping Balm and Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint to my love list this month! The balm is a beautiful glossy texture and the skin tint is the perfect swipe, blend, and go foundation!

Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint Shade 7

Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint Shade 6

Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Skin Tint Swatches (Shade 6 and Shade 7)

That’s my latest loves! What are yours?
